The price and service of ANDaz London reminds me a lot of the financial industry. Ripping off the customers and giving the shittiest service you can get for the highest price possible. The stay at this Hotel was a HUGE disappointment!

1. They promised free laundry included in the price for the weekend. It was an easter weekend. When I called up the housekeeping on Sunday they told me "Sorry this is a banking Holiday" no laundry service today! I mean come on that is ridiculous. Actually it is a rip off!

2. The first morning when we wanted to have breakfast, the first Hotel staff member (and this wasn't some cleaning person) pointed us towards the breakfast place. But all doors where locked so we had to re-walk everything. Then when we finally arrived at the breakfast place we haded to wait another 30 minutes because Breakfast was still closed. Nobody ever told us that breakfast would still be closed.

3. The green apples in the lobby where for free. That was highly appreciated.

4. Internet did not properly work in the room. It was also included in the price.

I can imagine that a lot of overpayed bankers enjoyed their stay in this Hotel. To me this seemed like a banker-style ripp-off.

Wow.. cool blog with a lot of nice photos!

There's few things on my trip there which marked it out. First off, the meet and greet plus the staff is one person can do all, check you in, carry your bags order some food and tell you where to shop/see theatre etc etc. The other cool thing is watching movies, wifi and local calls [national landline] as you say minibar are included.

This is a big departure with transparency and for me a better future for hotels.

Like you I loved the lighting as well.

I'd check out their weekend prices. They drop quite a bit in price if booked in advance! Midweek it's more pricey. But for a hotel 3/4 hour from an airport in car/train in the middle of the city - I'd say the price is about right!
