It was a Four star but I say, “Four star superior”. Villa Sassa is a hotel in Lugano with full of resort atmosphere.

Upon we arrived, the bell man with gentle smile escorted us to a room. A clean and fresh blue linen was impressive in room and it’s encouraged a feeling of in a southern city. The view was,,

swimming pool view:) If you want a lake view, you have to have a room with balcony on the other side. Well, swimming pool view is good enough:)

King size Bed. Very comfortable bed.

Bathroom. Very good to have a big bathtub. Shower is equipped in the corner but unfortunately with a curtain. I prefer shower booth with glass door.

Sink is spacy. Enough space to place my cosmetics and stuffs.

Amenities. Not special but considering that it a hotel in Europe, quite a good selection.

Lobby was small but I think it’s enough for this type of hotel. No body relax on the couch at lobby. Everybody prefer staying in the sun. Just as a waiting room, it functions perfectly.

View from swimming pool is awesome. Since its locating on the hill, you see wonderful view of the city Lugano and lake.

Water was a little bit cold in early morning but as refreshing as orange juice for breakfast.

Talking about breakfast, more view was offered again at tarrace seat. Overviewing spetacular view, I enjoyed fresh selections from buffet. Fruits, Muesli and Johgurt. It filled my tommy gently after a little morning excercise.

Service was also great. Even though the breakfast was buffet style, waitresses are paying good attention to every guests.

Being well treated by good surronding, I was thinking of my whole stay which was very satisfying. Not only the facility but also the service was good entirely. We we came back late on the night before, receptionist came over to us and asked if he can be of our help. The staff at SPA was also gave us a friendly smile and escorted us to the swimming pool.

Of course facility is that of 4 star. They could do better for towels and TV but that I have to expect for 5 star. Overall, my stay was just perfect.

Hotel is very important. If the place where you sleep is bad, sometime it’s affect the impression of whole trip. This time, Villa Sassa left me a very good memory of Lugano!
